Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
seal3x.com (“Chinese Seal Creations”, “we”) lets you carve a Chinese seal online, get a Chinese name, add your seal to an online register and reserve a real stone seal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to ask us to delete it. We don’t sell personal information and we don’t use advertising cookies.
What we collect
- Seals you carve. Drawing a seal happens in your browser. If you turn on the hidden QR code, we store the seal’s text, style and typeface, the number its QR code points to, its stone-texture seed, its register number and a short page ID. Anyone who scans your seal or has its link can open its scroll page.
- Wishes and names. If you write a wish, or carve a Chinese name we suggested from your name, we store the wish and the original name; they appear on your seal’s scroll page and certificate. If you choose to add your seal to the public register, your seal and wish are shown there after a quick review.
- Name suggestions. The name you type is sent to our server and to a third-party AI model provider to suggest Chinese names. We keep the suggestions for each name for up to 30 days so the same name gets the same answer; they are not linked to you.
- Real-seal reservations. Your email, and if you give them, your name for the side inscription, shipping country and note, plus the seal design you chose, the site language and the website or campaign that referred you.
- Contact form. Your name, organization, phone, email and message, the site language, your IP address, the country derived from it and your browser’s user agent, so we can reply and prevent abuse.
- Security. To limit abuse we store a keyed hash of your IP address (not the address itself) with a timestamp when you register a seal, ask for names or reserve a seal.
- Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or track you across sites. We also count events such as “a seal was registered” per day and per traffic source (for example “reddit”); these counts contain no personal identifiers. To attribute them, your browser remembers where you came from for the current visit only (session storage).
- Your browser. We keep your language choice in your browser’s local storage. The key that lets you edit your wish is created in your browser for that visit; our server stores only a hash of it.
How we use it
- To run the studio, the scroll pages and the register (to provide the service you ask for).
- To prepare and fulfil a real seal you reserve, and to email you about it (steps you request before a contract).
- To keep the site safe, measure which channels bring visitors and improve the site (our legitimate interests).
- To show your seal in the public register only if you tick that box (your consent, which you can withdraw).
Public wishes and names are screened automatically by an AI model before they appear in the register, and may be reviewed by a person. We may hide anything that is abusive, unlawful, spam or contains someone’s personal data.
Who processes it
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, its database and analytics. A third-party AI model provider processes the names you type and public wishes for screening. Your information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. When you order a real seal, the seal carver receives your seal design and side-inscription name, and the courier receives your shipping details.
How long we keep it
- Registered seals, wishes and names: while the site runs, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Reservations and contact messages: up to 24 months after our last contact, longer only if an order requires it for accounting.
- Security records: no longer than needed to prevent abuse.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to its use, or withdraw consent — for example, to take your seal out of the public register or delete your wish. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you may also complain to your data protection authority. We don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To make a request, use the contact form (topic “Other”) and include your seal’s register number or link, or the email you reserved with.
Children
The site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
